Rose Kerwin, the 50-year-old woman found dead in the Mississippi River in Pakenham on Nov. 12, 2023, drove a blue 2013 Mazda GX four-door sedan. The vehicle, with Ontario licence plate CSXW383, is still missing.
Two people are charged with first-degree murder in the November 2023 death of Rose Kerwin, who was residing in Carleton Place. They are Marcel Lapensee from Carleton Place and 23-year-old Samantha Osborne from Iroquois. The charges have not been proven in court.
A blue Mazda GX four-door sedan with Ontario licence plate CSXW383, belonging to 50-year-old Rose Kerwin, who was found dead in the Mississippi River in Pakenham on Nov. 12 last year, is still missing.
Two people have been charged with first-degree murder by the Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP): 56-year-old Marcel Lapensee from Carleton Place and 23-year-old Samantha Osborne from Iroquois. They were arrested on Dec. 19. The charges have not been proven in court.

Currently, Lapensee is behind bars at the Brockville Jail. He is in the process of obtaining new legal counsel. Osborne is in custody at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre. She is represented by lawyer Mark Ertel.
Police and Lanark County Crime Stoppers (LCCS) are seeking the assistance of the public in the location of Kerwin’s vehicle, which is still missing and was last seen in the Carleton Place area in early November 2023.

LCCS offers a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest, the recovery of stolen property and the seizure of illicit drugs or substances.
